LESTER "Leon" JOHNSON, 84, U.S. Navy veteran, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. Burial will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Johnson was a Master Masonanda member of t he local brick layers union for 50 years. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Lorrayne; two daughters, Betty J. Mallott and Patty J. Worely; a son, Lester Jr.; four grandchildren, Victor A. Worley, Kerin L. Owen, Lorrayne A. Mallott, and Michelle L. Mallott; and one great-grandchild, Victoria Worley. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
