Death came to Abraham Blue, 80-year-old settler of Republic county, Tuesday afternoon at his home in Washington township, following a short illness.
Mr. Blue, a well-known and respected farmer of the community, was one of the few old settlers who still resided on his farm which he managed up to the last.
He is survived by his widow and two sons, Homer, a case worker employed at the KERC offices in Belleville, and Raymond, in the government service at Washington, D.C.
Funeral arrangements await the arrival of Raymond from Washington, expected today.
