Brittany K. Behne, 17, of Clear Lake, died on Saturday, December 9, 2006, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN after a two week battle with injuries she sustained in an auto accident.

Brittany Kay Behne was born on September 25, 1989, in Cumberland, the daughter of Kenneth L. Block and Janel Kay Behne.

She was baptized at the Section 10 Free Lutheran Church in Cumberland and was confirmed at the United Covenant Church in Clear Lake.

Brittany attended school at Clear Lake, Cumberland, and Clayton, and currently was a student at Clear Lake High. She was active in cheerleading and worked as a student aid at Clear Lake Elementary School. Brittany also worked as a Nursing Assistant at the Golden Age Manor Nursing Home in Amery. She loved scrapbooking, quilting, and spending time with her family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Block; her grandparents George and Helen Behne; great grandparents, Irvin and Gladys Semb, and Herman and Corrine Behne; uncle, Howard Behne; and cousin Herman Behne.

She is survived by her parents, Janel and Matt Belle Isle, one sister, Kirsten LaBlanc, and one brother, Chant LaBlanc, all of Clear Lake, grandparents, Mona and Cletus Belle Isle of Somerset, and many aunts, uncles, family, and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 15, 2006 at 11 a.m. at United Covenant Church in Clear Lake with Pastor Gary Tonn officiating.

Music was provided by the Clear Lake High School Choir, and Justine Williamson and Ben Amundson.

Casketbearers were Harvey Behne, Andy Dachel, Jasper Behne, Stewart McManus, Rick Belle Isle, and Terry Williamson.

Interment was in the East Cumberland Cemetery in Cumberland.
