HALL, MYRTLE STOREY - Mrs Hall -- Mrs Myrtle Hall died Saturday at 7:40 pm, in St Joseph's Hospital following several years of ill health. Since the beginning of her illness she had been in and out of hospitals several times and had last entered on the day of her death. Mrs Hall, who made her home with a sister Mrs Lillie White, at 75 E Elm St, had been employed for 17 years at the Elm Street Garment Co, previous to her retirement two years ago. She was born at Roodhouse, Feb 11, 1898, a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs William Storey. Mrs Hall had resided in Alton for 40 years. Surviving are two brothers, Harry Storey, Des Moines, Iowa and Stanley, Stuart, Fla, two sisters, Mrs White and Mrs Lizzie Waters, Jerseyville, and three grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter. The body is at Gent Chapel where rites will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm, by the Rev William Robertson. Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park. Visitation hours at the chapel will be from 7 pm today until time of the funeral. 1961 -- clipping from files of Gent Funeral Home with no date or newspaper reference
