Victim of the Depression. An unemployed rubber-worker and president of his local Akron Unemployed Council, he worked to secure relief for suffering families. Olari was shot by a policeman during an altercation in which he was trying to prevent a poor family from being evicted from their home. He died in the hospital four days later. He left a wife Saveta and four daughters: Florence, Ann, Helen and Victoria.
