James Parker and his wife Mary (Todd) Parker were the maternal great-grandparents of Mary Ann (Todd) Lincoln.

"Died on Thursday morning last, Mr. Wm. Parker, of this town. Next day his remains were interred in the burring ground at Mr. Rankin's meeting-house, attended by the light infantry company (to which he belonged) in uniform, and a very numerous assemblage of respectable citizens – And yesterday Mr. James Parker, brother to the above deceased."
