Farrell Hawkins, 93, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully April 30, 2008 surrounded by his family.







He was born January 22, 1915 in Malad, Idaho to Ephraim Thorpe and Rachel Griffiths Hawkins. He married Lenna Bell who preceded him in death. Farrell married Darlene Crawford July 8, 1982. Farrell spent the majority of his working life as a grocer, much of which was at Food Queen in Union. He held the long jump record of nearly 23 feet at Malad High School for many years. He and his wife, Darlene, served an LDS Mission at Temple Square and enjoyed many years of service in the Salt Lake and Jordan River Temples. Family activities were a favorite hobby, as well as camping, fishing, gardening and bowling.







Survivors: wife, Darlene; children, Ray (Sharon) Hawkins, Larry (Peggy) Hawkins, Bruce (Jan) Hawkins, Vickie (Lynn) Fawson, Angie (Brian) Erickson, Steve Burgon, Christy (Bryant) Moore; 31 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by brothers, Eph, Griff, Joe; sisters, Edna, Thella, Rhea, Edith.








Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Murraydale LDS Ward Chapel, 6300 South 300 East. A Viewing will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street on Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the Church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
