BETHEL SERVICES HELD IN BRISTOW
Funeral services for Louis M. Bethel, 71, of Bristow, Oklahoma, who died here last Tuesday morning, October 11, 1949, following a heart attack, were held Thursday afternoon in the Bristow Church of God, with burial in Bristow Cemetery.
Bethel had been in Wagoner visiting with his mother, Mrs. Lamondo Bethel who was visiting from Compton, California, at the home of his brother, Dave Bethel who lives west of Wagoner. He was leaving the Bethel home to return to Bristow when he suffered the fatal heart attack.
After the car in which he and his brother were traveling in stalled, Bethel started to walk to town to catch his bus. He had gone less that 200 yards when stricken.
Besides his mother and brother in Wagoner, Bethel is survived by his wife, three sons, three daughters, five other brothers and two sisters.
