KATHRYN ELLEN DENNISON ALVAREZ, 80 of Raiford died Sunday (Easter) at Shands Hospital UF in Gainesville after an extended illness. Mrs. Alvarez was born in Union County where she was a lifelong resident. She lived most of her life in Raiford. She was a clerk for the City of Raiford for many years before her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Raiford where she was Church clerk for 54 years. She was the daughter of the late Relaigh and Rosa Dennison. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Buehne.
Mrs. Alvarez is survived by: 1 daughter, Linda (Gary) Norcross of Lake Butler; 2 grandsons, Kevin (Mandy) Norcross of Lake Butler and Bradley Norcross of Lake Butler; 3 great-grandchildren, Adam Leah and Seth Norcross all of Lake Butler; 1 brother-in-law, James Buehne of Starke.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Raiford. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery (Swift Creek) near Lake Butler. ARCHER FUNERAL HOME, of Lake Butler is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8pm.
