OBIT: died: December 10, 1997 - Colchester - Eleanor M. Aten, 80, of 825 E. Main, Prairie City, died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at the Prairie City Nursing Home in Prairie City. She was born June 9, 1917, in Good Hope to Bryan and Hulda (Kepple) Boden. She married George Aten on Aug. 28, 1935, in Keokuk, Iowa. He survives in Augusta. She is also survived by her mother of Bushnell; one daughter, Judy Wallick of Colchester; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Harrison Boden of Bushnell and Frank Boden of Canton; one sister-in-law, Peggy Norris of Bushnell. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Mervin Boden; and one sister, Melba Howard and her father. Mrs. Aten was a member of the Plymouth United Methodist Church. Private graveside services will be held with the Rev. Lee Unger officating at Forest Lawn Gardens in Macomb. Friends may call anytime until time of services. Jones Mortuary of Colchester is in charge of arrangements.
