They were married on Jaunary 2, 1941 in the Salt Lake City, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Doris was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The greatest blessing that our parents gave us was to be sealed in the Manti temple so we could be a forever family. Mom and Dad fell in love with Orem and made it their home to raise their family and enjoy wonderful friends. She was active in church and civic service. She served as Primary president, Young Women's president and as a counselor in the Relief Society. Boyd and Doris served a mission at the Provo temple. What a great example of service she was to her family and friends; she loved to serve. She will be missed. Doris was one of the original charter members of the Orem Women's Club. She also was a member of the DUP and other clubs. Doris worked for the Alpine School District for 25 years.

She was survived by a sister, Mildred Busk; three daughters, Connie Rae (Ken) Carter, Provo; Linda Lee (Dee) Hobbs, Meza AZ; Jacqueline (Clifford) Riley, Orem. Doris and Boyd have 11 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
