WARREN -- Abbie Godfrey Baker, 84, of Hermitage, died April 22, 1998, at
Bradley County Medical Center.
She was born on September 10, 1913, in Bradley County, a daughter of
the late Jasper J. and Fannie Hamilton Godfrey.
She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church at
Hermitage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Baker, who died on
April 30, 1973; and a daughter, Waldean Haves.
Survivors include two sons, Cecil Baker of Hermitage and Roy Baker
of Crossett; a brother, Mansfield Godfrey of Johnsville; 13 grandchildren;
and 19 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Outlaw Cemetery at
Sumpter with the Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. The body will be at the family
home, at Hermitage until the service. Arrangements are handled by Frazer's
Funeral Home at Warren.
