Greer - Helen Childers Alexander, 81, of 124 Clearview Drive, widow of Melvin Alexander, died July 5, 2007 at Greenville Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Pinckney Franklin and Edna Davis Childers, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two sons, Larry Alexander of the home and Anthony "Tony" Alexander; and one daughter-in-law, Caprice Alexander, wife of Tony of Greenville; three grandchildren, Brian, Stacy and Logan Alexander; and one great-granddaughter, Amaya Owens. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2007, at Wood Mortuary in Greer conducted by Dr. Rev. Baxter Wynn. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
