Gertrude M. Snyder, 92, 0f 123 S. Franklin St., Eaton, died Monday evening, Feb. 25, at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Ind., after an extended illness. She was a native of Twin Township, a lifelong resident of Preble County and a member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clem L. Snyder, in 1976, and a son, George R. Snyder, in 1989.

Survivors include four daughters, Juanita Miller, Betty Burcham, Patty Birbal and Ruthie Mynk, all of Eaton; two sons, Lloyd Snyder of Dayton and Jackie Snyder of Eaton; 22 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and eight great-great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Barnes Funeral Home – Eaton Chapel with the Rev. James Bland officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton Emergency Squad.
