Margaret Ann Ernst, daughter of Daniel and Mary Ernst was born at Malvern, Ohio, August 2nd, 1852, passing away at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 11 days.

She was married to John M. Culter, November 6, 1870. He preceded her in death November 5, 1897. To this union were born 5 children: Etta, who preceded her in death, July 13, 1892; Eva of Claremont; Odie, of Sumner; Oliver "Ollie" of Lake Providence, Louisana; Carrie, of Claremont with whom she has made her home the last fourteen years. She leaves to mourn her departure, two sons and two daughters, one brother, 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

She joined the church at Amity August 22, 1890 under the ministry of J. G. Reed, pastor and led a Christian life until her death.
