Mrs. Avery was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Arlina Breland Collins; husband, Austin Avery, Sr.; son, Austin Avery, Jr.; brothers, B.J., Jack, and T.J. Breland; Grandchildren, Hadiyah Salahuddin and Lorenzo Bradley, II.
She leaves to cherish her memories, sister, Mrs. Irene Avery; daughters, Bettie Everett, Jean (Lorenzo) Bradley, Evelyn (George) Taylor, and Patsy Frazier; son, Shaheed (Shahidah) Salahuddin; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Services will be Monday, August 15, 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Wiggins, MS. with Rev. Charles Fairley officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Community Cemetery.
