She was born to Jack Howard and Louis Beatrice Bryant Thomas. Eunice was a faithful member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church for more than 60 years and she remained strong in her love for God and faithful in her support of the church even when her failing health prevented regular attendance. She retired from Walter Pye's Clothing store after many years of service. She is survived by: a devoted husband of 61 years, Herbert Denkins, children, Eunice Jeanette Cooks, Allen Wayne Denkins, Shelia Yvette Denkins Edwards, Yvonne Marie Denkins Cunningham; brothers, Jack Howard Thomas Jr. and Douglas Louis Thomas; uncle, Lorenzo Thomas; 7 grand children, 3 great- grand sons, and a host of relatives, and friends.
