Charles W. "Chuck" Bresher, 81, of Eaton, died Wednesday, May 6, at his home after a two-year illness. Born Feb. 11, 1917, in New Hope, he was the son of the late Frank R. and Sadie A. (Oler) Bresher, and had lived in Preble County all his life. He was a retired building inspector for Preble County and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Bresher was a former member of the Preble County Fair Board, a privileged member of the Eaton Lions Club and a member of American Legion Post #215 of Eaton.

Survivors include his wife, Cledith B. (Doran) Bresher, whom he married June 22, 1945; two daughters, Becky Koontz and Marty Bresher, both of Eaton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A sister, Mary Frances Grose, is deceased.

Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton, where military graveside services were conducted.
