She was born on January 27, 1939, and was a daughter of Virginia A. Young and the late Darrell E. Young. She was known to her family and close friends as "Boots."
Ruth was a graduate of Clendenin High School where she was also a cheerleader. In her early years, she was a homemaker and worked for Kanawha County Board of Education and Montgomery Ward. Later, she was employed by Union Carbide Corporation as a clerk, where she then retired in 1994 after 18 years of service.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, but always remembered for her kind and gentle nature.
She is survived by her family: sons, Mark Richard Moles of Sissonville and Matthew Perry Moles and his wife, Karen, of Conyers, Ga.; daughter, Marlene Dee Moles of Sissonville; grandson, Matthew Daniel Moles of Conyers, Ga.; mother, Virginia A. Young of Clendenin; brothers, Darrell Richard Young and his wife, Helen, of Sebring, Fla., and James Clinton Young and his wife, Edna, of Culloden; sister in-law, Joyce Young of Cocoa, Fla.; and former husband, Hubert Perry Moles of Big Chimney.
In addition to her father, Ruth was preceded in death by her brother, William Eugene Young of Cocoa, Fla.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, at Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home, Charleston, with Pastor John A. Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Hills Memorial Park.
