WILSON -- Graveside services for former Wilson resident Wilma JoAnn Easterwood Campbell, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hewitt Cemetery with Roy Hannah officiating.
Mrs. Campbell was born Feb. 19, 1920, near Wilson, to Chester Webster Easterwood and Sarah E. Jane Knight Easterwood Vick. She died Jan. 17, 2000, in Alvin Texas.
Reared south of Wilson, she moved to Damon, Texas, in 1938 and became a desk clerk for the Rice Hotel, working there 27 years. She was then employed at the Sheraton in Houston ten years. She had lived in Sweeney, Texas, since 1986.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Hartfield, Alvin; a sister, Muriel Hammond, Sweeney; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Honorary bearers will be Ron and Charles Alexander, Tom Blaine, John Hartfield and Wayne Easterwood.
Alexander Funeral Home will direct services.
