L.N. "Jack" Clements, 84, passed away, Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at his home in Altus. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church with Dr. Richard Ventonis, the Rev. Lynn Taubeneck and the Rev. David Clements officiating. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

L. N. "Jack" Clements was born Dec. 3, 1923, to Napoleon P. and Dovie (Lamb) Clements in Horatio, Ark. He attended school in Walnut Springs, Ark. On Nov. 11, 1944, he married Zola Davis in DeQueen, Ark. and to this union four children were born. He and Zola lived in Arkansas a short time before moving to Oklahoma. The couple had lived in Fairview, Mustang, Blair and Elk City before moving to Altus in 1958. He was a self-employed plumber and in 1963 established Clements Plumbing Heat and Air in Altus, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Altus where he served as a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, usher, treasurer and as a Deacon from 1968 until 2004. He loved to participate in church activities, attending services, witnessing and reading the Bible. He also loved to spend time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Clements and Sam Clements; one sister, Corine Lovell; and one son- in- law, Ira Lee Bryant.

Jack is survived by his wife Zola of the home; three daughters, Paula Bryant of Altus, Carla Taubeneck and her husband Lynn, Marla Winters and her husband Glayde, all of Fort Worth, Texas; one son, David Clements and wife Cindy of Bronx, N.Y.; three sisters, Geraldine Folsom and her husband J.T of Nashville, Ark., Maurine Lambeth and Ora Lea Andrews, both of DeQueen, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Jeff Bryant and his wife Nadine of Euless, Texas, Daniel Bryant and his wife April of Keller, Texas, Deidre Racoma and her husband Robert of Bronx, Crystal Medrano and her husband Chris of Grand Prairie, Texas, Todd Clements of Bronx, Allyster Taubeneck, Andrea Winters, Melody Taubeneck, and Monica Winters, all of Ft. Worth, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Skylar, Maia, Eliana, Kaylie and Emily; and many friends.

The family will greet friends from 5to 7 p.m. today at Kincannon Funeral Home.
