THURMAN EDWARD MILLER
The funeral for Thurman Edward Miller of Forest Grove will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Fuiten-Rose Mortuary Chapel in Forest Grove. He died in a Forest Grove care center Monday of Alzheimer's disease. He was 81.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 9 a.m. until the service Saturday in the funeral home.
Mr. Miller was born Feb. 4, 1909, in Dublin, Texas, and reared in Rotan, Texas. He later lived in Pleasant Valley, Ralls and Post, Texas, until moving to Forest Grove in 1942.
He worked for Stimson Lumber Co. 1942 to 1946, and then worked for a Forest Grove creamery for 23 years. He worked for Tektronix for six years, retiring in 1975.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; daughters, Patsy Pearson of Cupertino, Calif., and Carolyn Connolly of Hillsboro; a sister, Sonny Hammond of Rotan; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to Dogs for the Deaf Inc., 10175 Wheeler Road, Central Point, Ore., 97502.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Forest Grove.
