Gladys Peters Angle, 84, of Rocky Mount, departed this life Wednesday, January 2, 2008 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 24, 1923 near Elida, Ohio, a daughter of the late Aaron Newton and Effie Miller Peters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edgar Angle, two brothers, David and Denton Peters and two sisters, Mary Deaton and Edith Boyd.

Surviving are her children, David and Betty Angle, Dale and Mary Ann Angle, Dean and Denise Angle, all of Rocky Mount, and Glen and Carol Angle of Elida, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one brother, Leland Peters; one sister, Martha Ladd; two sisters-in-law, Bunah Booth and Dorothy Angle.

Funeral services will be conducted from Mountain View Old German Baptist Brethren Church 10 a.m. Saturday with the Home Brethren and Elder Billy Boone officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will be receiving friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
