Louise (or Louisa) Marion (nee Stockton) Brandt

Louise (or Louisa) was a daughter of Louisa Marion (nee Spiller) and Dr. Isaac Denton Stockton, Sr. This Stockton family descends from Davis Stockton (c.1685-1761) of Albemarle County, Virginia. Her father, Dr. Isaac Denton Stockton, was named after the famous Stockton's Valley, Clinton County, Kentucky, preacher Isaac Denton. Isaac's father, Robert Stockton, Sr., was born in Tennessee but raised in Stockton's Valley. The first settler of what is now Clinton County, Kentucky, was Isaac's grandfather, Thomas Stockton, Sr., (c.1740-1809), and Stockton's Valley is named for him.

Louise (or Louisa) Stockton married July 2, 1867, in Mendocino County, California.
