She was the first born child of Adam Salvador and Maria Delagarza Cardenas. Miss Cardenas graduated from Lanier High School and Our Lady of the Lake University with a degree in Education. She taught at Rhodes Middle School, Edgewood High School and ended her teaching career at Sam Houston High School where she taught History and Government. Miss Cardenas loved teaching and took pride in all of her students. During a 38 year teaching career she significantly impacted the lives of her many pupil. Miss Cardenas was a very dedicated parishioner of St. Anthony De Padua Catholic Church. She was a proud member of the music ministry, Voices of Praise, for several years. She also was a member of several church organizations and was always happy to participate in activities. Miss Cardenas dedicated her life to helping others and will be greatly missed and joyfully remembered. She is survived by her brother, Salvador Cardenas; sister, Carmen Hinojosa (Ricardo); nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
