My precious ginger fur baby.
We first picked Arthur when he was six months old from the Cat Protection. He had been taken back three times by different 'owners' because he was so shy and nervous. Yet when I looked into those frightened yellow eyes it was love at first sight and he was the one.
We had had two cats but one had died and left the other lonely and Arthur was an instant hit! It took a long while for him to settle down, but all you had to do to calm him was the pick him up. He would curl round my shoulders and be quite happy. His favourite thing to do was nothing. He would lie down and sleep, only moving when he heard his dish being filled!
Until two days ago he was fine and then he started struggling for breathe. We took him to the vet, expecting for him to have a virus but when she took him out she told us he was trying to leave and all he wanted was out permission to go. Sadly we gave it and he passed on.

You graced me with your presence
Like sunlight on the shore
And although I always loved you
I felt you loved me more.
I would have searched the earth for you
Had you not come to my door
And I would soar the heights of Heaven
To have you back just like before.
Although your life was fleeting
As the waves on every sea
I hope you know and always will
That you meant the world to me.
