Juanita T. Flye passed away Nov. 25, 2007, after an extended illness.

She was born Sept. 12, 1921, in Indianapolis, to Willetta and Theodore Wright. Juanita was a 1939 graduate of Anderson High School. She was married to James Flye for 64 years and was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.

Juanita professed Christ at an early age and was a member of Second Baptist Church, serving on the Senior Missionaries and Kitchen Committee for more than 70 years.

Juanita was active in the community, serving in the Democrat Club, Ladies Culture Club and Geater Senior Travel Club. She enjoyed traveling in the United States as well as China and Spain.

Survivors include two children, Lawana (James) Copeland and James (Twila) Flye Jr.; grandchildren, William (Jan) Brown Jr. of Noblesville, Ronald Brown of New Orleans, La., Vincent (Mecca) Brown and James (Melanie) Copeland, all of Anderson, Tambi (Andre) Flye-McCall and Ericka Flye, all of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Adrian (Sonya) Brown of Greenwood, Miss., Julian Brown of Ruston, La., Dorian and Aliah Brown, both of Noblesville, Jordan Brown of Indianapolis, Christen Brown, Tyeria Austin, Jackson, Holden and Weston Copeland, all of Anderson; great-great-grandchild, Adrianna Brown of Greenwood, Miss. She is also survived by uncles, Harold Guyton and Claude Wright; cousins, nieces and one nephew; special sister-in-law, Marietta Wright; and friends, Catherine Duncan, Anna Belle Weathersbee and Lillie Leavell.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Theodore Wright and Ervin Wright; and sister-in-law, Pearl Wright.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Second Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor William O'Neal officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Services entrusted to Glazebrooks Funeral Services.
