Funeral services for Ruth Farroll Skinner Carr, 85, of Cadiz, were conducted on Sunday, January 28, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home. Revs. Robert McIntosh and Irvin Darnall officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Carr Cemetery in Cadiz. Mrs. Carr died on Thursday, January 25, 2007, at 10:45 p.m., at Trigg County Hospital of natural causes. Mrs. Carr was born on February 13, 1921, in Cadiz. She was the daughter of the late Ricks and Altha Darnall Skinner. Mrs. Carr was a homemaker, and a member of Donaldson Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Hazel Carr; two brothers, Ricks Skinner, Jr., and Lonnie Jack Skinner; and three sisters, Willie Maude Turner, Lucille Tucker, and Ruby Dean Noel. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Hubert Nelson and Carol Carr of Lenwood, Ill., and Tony Hazel and Ann Carr of Clarksville, Tenn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Nina and Tommy Calhoun of Cadiz; a sister and brother-in-law, Mayme "Pete" and William "Jinks" Stewart of Cadiz; 11 grandchildren, Darla Joiner, Tony Carr, Jr., Rebecca Jane Greenfield, Sarah Carr, Kris Carr, Shelby Carr, Stacie Carr, Rusty Leep, Josie Burns, Keith Greenfield, and Joanie Carr; and nine great-grandchildren, Mike Joiner, Matt Joiner, Trey Carr, J.C. Carr, C.J. Carr, Kara Carr, Alex Carr, Sierra Greenfield, and Jordan Burns. Barbara McIntosh, vocalist, Rose Bush, pianist, and the Donaldson Creek Baptist Church Choir provided the music. Serving as pallbearers were Tony Carr, Jr., Ricky Joiner, Kris Carr, Mike Joiner, Matt Joiner, and Keith Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cadiz Gideon Camp, P.O.
