Wife of Vermont Governor William H. Wills. She graduated from Bennington High School in 1905 and Middlebury College in 1909. She became a teacher, working in Ludlow from 1909 to 1910 and Bennington from 1910 to 1914. She was an advocate for the creation of Bennington College and served as a trustee for 14 years. She also served as a trustee of the University of Vermont. A Republican, she served in the Vermont Senate from 1961 to 1963. She also authored a history of her husband's insurance agency, 1953's "Bill Wills and Company."
