Marland M. Ashalintubbi, 78, of Eagletown, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX. He was born December 28, 1928, at Eagletown, OK, the son of Moses and Minnie (Dyer) Ashalintubbi.

Marland was a member of the Panki-Bok Cumberland Presbyterian Church and had lived in Eagletown for many years. He worked in many states as a sawyer in the timber industry. Marland enjoyed fishing, mowing yards and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Sue Ashalintubbi; parents, Moses and Minnie Ashalintubbi; two brothers, Melton Eugene, Melvin Matt; one sister, Marie McKinney; three children, Candice Ashalintubbi, Verolyn Ashalintubbi, and David Wayne Ashalintubbi and one granddaughter, Marla Williams.

Marland leaves to cherish his memory his six children, Dennis Ray Ashalintubbi and his wife Terri, Eagletown, Denese Grace Johnson, Heavener, OK, Hanna Mae Williams and her husband Paul, Del City, OK, Ferris Larson Ashalintubbi, Honobia, OK, Minnie Floyd and her husband George, Clarksville, AR, Pauline Genemetes and her husband Bryan, Clarksville, AR; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Ashalintubbi, Hugo, OK; one sister, Mildred Ashalintubbi, Eagletown; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his faithful companion his dog " Dolly."

Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007, at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel with Cy Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Panki-Bok Cemetery, Panki-Bok, OK.
