"Helen (Kennedy) Allen, 86, a resident of Country Care Nursing Center for the past five years, died at 8:05 a.m. Aug. 2, 1996 in Community Hospital, Williamsport. She was born Jan. 27, 1910, near West Lebanon, the daughter of James H. and Cora M. Can Kennedy. She was first married to Samuel D. Land in 1926 and he preceded her in death in 1951. She was later married to Walter Allen and he preceded her in death in 1983. She had been employed on the assembly line as a stacker at RMC in Attica for 25 years before retiring in 1972.

Surviving are: five sons, Joseph Land and Walter Land, both of Attica, Roy Land and Larry Land, both of Danville, Ill. and Jerry Land of West Lebanon; three daughters, Janet Land of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Morris (Mable) Geiger of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Ron (Sue) Titus of West Lebanon; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Bryant of Lafayette; 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, a daughter, a sister and three brothers.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Fisher Funeral Home at West Lebanon with the Rev. Don Williams officiating. Burial followed in West Lebanon Cemetery." – Fountain County Neighbor, August 6, 1996
