Obituary of Maryanna Russell, 73, of Abilene went to meet our lordon July 29, 2005. Maryanna was born September 22, 1931 in Saint Joseph, MO. She married Vernon W. Russell on June 5, 1950. They lived in Kansas City, MO until moving to Abilene, TX on June 19, 1972. She retired from Hendricks Medical Center in 1995 after 17 years of service as an aide and lab clerk.
Maryanna is survived by: four sons, Phil Russell of the home, James Chester of Clyde, Michael (Mitch) Russell of Phoenix, AZ, and SSGT John Russell, stationed in Mannheim, Germany; one daughter, Patti Williams of the home, four brothers, Fred, Herman, and Melvin Miller of Kansas City, KS, Lester Miller of Grandview, MO; four sisters, Velma Lykins of St. Joseph, MO, Nora Towndrow of Amarillo, TX, Frances Balbin & Beverly Stout of Aurora, CO. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren fourteen great-grandchildren.
Maryanna was preceded in death by: her husband, Vernon W. Russell; two children, Donald and Marian Russell; her parents, Joseph and Rosie Miller, Sr.; one brother, Joseph Miller, Jr.; and two sisters, Inez and Kathleen Fowler.
