MARY LOUISE SHEPHERD was born 02 Apr 1851 in Mississippi, and died 30 Sep 1913 in Mississippi. She married NOAH H. THOMPSON 1870. He was born 09 Nov 1850 in Georgia, and died 12 Jul 1910 in Mississippi.

Mary L. Shepherd was born 1851.
and was happily married to Noah M.
Thompson 1870. She was converted:
at the age of fifteen years. She was
baptized and received into the M. E.
Church South. but afterwards joined
the M. P. Church, and to the time of
her death, Sept, 30th.. 1913, was a
consistent member of the same In all
relationships of her life she acted well
her part. She loved her church and was
loyal and fathful to it.
Her pastor found in her a wi1ling.
faithful friend. The sick and sorrowing
had her sympathy; and she was
always ready and willing to administer
to them as she had opportunity so to do.
She loved her children, was perfectly
devoted to them
More than a year before her death
she was stricken with he disease that
final1y ended her life.Through the
long weary months of her sickness
she was patient and submissive to the
devine will she would have been.
glad to have remained with her chil-
dren, but was willing to go if her
heavenly Father saw, best.
When the end came she was peaceful
and happy; died wIthout a struggle,
and passed triumphantly through
the gates to the home not made with
hands,' to be forever with her Lord
and loved ones gone before.
She leaves seven children, two boys
and five girls. and thirty-two grand
children living and ten dead.
