Tazzy was a great Lab who was not wanted by the owner. Tazzy was given to me and my two sons Ed & Jason 4 & 6 respectfully. She never let us down; she protected the children at all times when outside, even from other dogs.

Had a problem though keeping her out of the water...Brrr!

Finally, one night while I was watching the stars through a telescope, the dogs were playing in the backyard and they would come to me and I would reached down and pat them on the head without looking. I patted Tazzy, Spot, Buddy and a fourth. Hmm...who was that, I looked out in the yard and they were playing with a skunk! Naturally I went inside and one by one they came into the house through the doggie door. Ooops- so did the skunk. Gave him the treat that everyone else got and away he went. Thank goodness.

Tazzy had a good life well treated and respected. The previous year to her death, she developed cancer and a vigorous battle by Tazzy and the Vet was fought, but in the end she died.

Tazzy waited until I returned home from the midnight shift, in the hallway flanked by Spot and Buddy she laid her head on my lap, gently stroking her head, she passed at 8:00 A.M.(21yrs. 26dys). A beautiful loved dog.

Her ashes are stored in an urn to be buried with my other pets,Spot Crain, Buddy Crain, OP Crain, KitKat Crain, Snoopy Crain and me. That's going to be one rock'n coffin, Tazzy and a cat!

Love Dad

I believe this writing sent to Buddy by GeorgiaCa is most appropriate for all of our friends;

"I have done mostly what men do, And pushed it out of my mind; But I can't forget, if I wanted to, Four-Feet trotting behind. Day after day, the whole day through Wherever my road inclined-- Four-Feet said, 'I am coming with you!' And trotted along behind. Now I must go by some other round-- Which I shall never find-- Some where that does not carry the sound Of Four-Feet trotting behind."~Rudyard Kipling

A human being will love you, disrespect you and leave you. A pet will respect you, love you and always be at your side.
Damn the one who hurts a pet!
