Bernice Adams

Funeral services for Mr. Bernice Adams, age 59, resident of Winona, were conducted at New Hope United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 1992. The Rev. Pettis Brewer officiated, assisted by Rev. George Mims. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Adams died after a lengthy illness Saturday, November 29 at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Mrs. Eva Adams and the late William Clifford Adams.

A native of Montgomery County, Mr. Adams was a disabled Screw Conveyor Corporation employee and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Eva Adams of Winona; his daughter, Mrs. Rhonda Bennett of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Jones of Winona and Mrs. Kaye Watson of Sallis; three brothers, Darnell Adams of Greenville, Kenny Adams of Grenada and David Adams of Black Hawk; and one grandson.

Serving as pallbearers were Charles Orsborn, Jack Diette, Mackie Prewitt, Mack Costilow, Wilburn Hawkins and Jack Jones.

Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
