Resided in Middlebury, Wyoming Co. NY as a young child.
Julia was the niece of Psyche Mullet. She had then been brought up in the Bennet home and treated like a daughter by her Aunt and Uncle Elnathan Bennet. Married 17 Mar 1870.

In 1861, as a student, she delivered a Commendatory Address at Old Central High School in Buffalo to the newly recruited members of the 21st Regiment who were leaving for the Civil War in Virginia. A few words from her speech were: " Our country calls for brave men, true men, who will stand by their principles, and who will defend the right..."
The students presented them with a fine silk flag, and Julia received the flag back from the hands of Col. Rogers upon their return two years later.

Buffalo Evening News August 22, 1902:
"The Social Chronicle"
Mrs. Lester of Chicago formerly Miss Julia Paddock of Buffalo is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. C. M. Farrar of Delaware Avenue."

Julia is buried in Graceland cemetery, Cook Co., Illinois. section D lot 395 grave #5 next to her husband.
