She was born Feb 7, 1935, in Sistersville, WV, daughter of the late Frank E and Mary C Laidacker Lucas.
She was retired from Corning Glass CO and a member of the First Baptist Church, Paden City.
Whe was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, Daisy Carpenter Lucas; two brothers, William E and Robert R Lucas; four sisters, Mary Jane Bryg, Dorthy E Lucas, Ruth Ann Kershuk and Alice Marie Lucas; a stepbrother and stepsister.
Surviving are her husband, Stan L Archer; a son, Craig L (Jennifer) Archer of New Martinsville, WV; a daughter, Stannah L (John) Long of Paden City; three grandchildren, Amanda C, Zachary L, and Cameron D Archer; five brothers, Andrew D Lucas of Moundsville, WV, Frank D Lucas of Amstersdam, Ohio, Donald E and James J Lucas, both of Dover, Del, and Michael S of Crown Point, Ind; three sisters, Frances I Thurman of Mrytle Creek, Ore, V Ellen Smythe of Sistersville, WV, and Nancy L Forrester of Middlebourne, WV.
Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2002, with Rev Dan Baker. Interment at Paden Memorial Gardens.
