Aura is the son of Darwin & Jeanette Eldred Cronk.

He married Alice E. Trumbull on 11-20-1867 at Batavia, Kane County, Illinois. They had the following children

DEATH NOTICE
A. Cronk who had been a resident of this city and vicinity for nearly two years died Saturday at 1 O'Clock in the afternoon at his home 12 miles north of Fort Collins. Mr. Cronk was 50 years of age and came to Colorado from the state of Iowa about two years ago and for some time had charge of one of the National Land & Irrigation Co's ranches, but later being unable to carry on the hard work necessary took up his residence in the city where he lived until about two weeks before his death. For over a year Mr. Cronk has been afflicted with a cancer of the stomach from which he realized he could not recover. A wife and three children (this should be four children) survive the deceased. The funeral services took place Sunday from the Christian Church, the interment being in the Grandview Cemetery.
