James was the son of John Alexander Anderson and Cyntha Ann (Pond) Anderson.

He married Frances Kernelia McDaniel on August 15, 1895 in Bellevue, Clay County, Texas. They had six children.

1--Lillian Estelle [1896-1961]
2--Earl Franklin [1898-1931]
3--Cenia Alzeria [1899-1983]
4--Annie Geneva [1902-1991]
5--Johnnie Albert [1907-1982]
6--Ralph Verle [1912-1973]

James was a member of the Church Of Christ for over 45 years.

OBITUARY:

J.A. Anderson, a resident of Tillman County since the opening, died early Tuesday morning in a Wichita Falls, Texas hospital, where he had been since last Saturday. Mr. Anderson had been in failing health for the past two months and his condition had grown alarming in the past few days.
Anderson came to this country in the early days, homesteading 6 miles west and2 1/2 miles south of Frederick.
He was beloved by all who knew him, a religious man and a good neighbor and friend.
Mr. Anderson was a devout member of the Valley Home Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Wednesday at the Church of Christ with R.F. Whitaker of Tipton in charge of the rites.
Interment will be in the City Cemetery.
In addition to his widow, Mr. Anderson is survived by the following children:
Mrs. Ernest Bryan, Roosvelt; Miss Cenia Anderson, Frederick; Mrs. Fred Stravlo, Oklahoma City; John Anderson, Frederick; and Ralph Anderson, Frederick.

James was my Grandfather whom I never knew. He died 3 years before I was born.
