Obit: Mrs Wm Ball, one of the oldest residents of the oldest residents of the county and widow of the late Dr Ball, one of the early well-known physicians, died t her home northwest of Albany October 30th. She had been in poor health for a good many years and for several years past had been totally blind and death came as a relief to her. Funeral services were held at the Old Brick church conducted by C P Murphy, assisted by Rev J D McClure, and the burial was in the cemetery adjoining.

Deceased's maiden name was Frances Dilley (Lisle). She was born Nov 1, 1822 and lacked only 2 days of being 92 years old. She was a native of Tennessee, but came to Missouri in 1841. She was married to Dr Wm Ball in 1849 and 6 children were born to them, of whom 3 are living. John and Thomas live in this county, but the daughter lives in California. She had been a life-long member of the Christian church and died in triumphant faith.
