She married Samuel Scott Boss on Apr 3, 1845, in Huntsville, Montgomery Co, Texas (now Walker Co, Tx). They had 7 children. Following the death of Samuel in 1866, she married Paul Robinson on Apr 3, 1870 in Lamar Co, Texas.
It is unknown if Elizabeth and Paul divorced or if Paul died, but in any event by 1880 Elizabeth had gone back to using BOSS as her last name and was residing with her daughter Laura and son-in-law William Wesley Clark in Spring Creek, Yell Co, Arkansas. Laura and William returned to Texas by 1900.
Elizabeth received a pension for Samuel's service during the Mexican War, but even so, she was buried in a pauper's grave.
The Birnie Funeral Home records indicate that a Dr. H Bowers paid the $10.00 for Elizabeth's burial on Mar 1, 1897.
