Jessie Farmer Baxter was born in Henry County on June 16, 1834 and departed this life on August 20, 1923, age 89 years, two months and four days. He had been a member of the Baptist church 75 years and was a humble and consistent follower of his Master.
The funeral was preached at Turners Station Baptist Church by Bro. Barbe with burial at the Port Royal Cemetery. He is survived by seven children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
