Heman Almon was the 1st of 7 children (3 sons and 4 daughters) born of Almon Bartholomew (1806-1889) and his 2nd wife Betsey Stannard (1810-1875). Heman married Alice L. Douglass (1841-1921) by whom he had three children (all sons): Alanson Douglass (1863-1949), Almon Stannard (1868-1913), and Herbert Almon (1871-1958).
