Willis Johnson, son of Snellen Marion and Sally Hunt Greer. Willis learned to work at an early age, and was exceptionally kind and helpful to his mother. He was baptized at the age of 25. He married Eliza Rachel Kearl, daughter of James and Ann Burton Kearl, at the age of 20 against the wishes of her parents. He was killed at threshing time in Oct. while he was putting the harnesses on the horses. He was trying to get them into the barn and tapped one on the back with a halter. It kicked back hitting him in the face. His son found him and carried him to the house where he soon died.
