Actor and Writer best known for his portrayal of Lieutenant Colonel Henry Blake in the 1970 motion picture M*A*S*H that spawned the hit television series.Bowen also appeared in Heaven Can Wait (1978), The Main Event (1979) and Zapped! (1981).A veteran of numerous television commercials, his final film appearance was in What About Bob with Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss in 1991. Oddly, his death occurred one day after McLean Stevenson who had reprised the role of Henry Blake on television.
