Mrs. Grace C. Burkholder, 76 years, 11 month, 25 days, New Holland R1, died at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday at the Fairmount Rest Home where she had been a guest since 1978.
She was the wife of Daniel W. Burkholder, who died in 1972. Born in East Earl Township, she was a daughter of the late George D. and Catharine Witman Witwer.
She was a member of the Bridgeville Evangelical Congregational Church, where she belonged to the Ladies Bible Class.
Surviving are three sons: James W., husband of Pauline Martin Burkholder, East Earl RD#2;
D. Leroy, husband of Laverne Sweigart Burkholder, Ephrata RD#4; and R.George, husband of Dorothy Kauffman Burkholder, New Holland RD#1; four daughters; Catharine S., wife of Roy R. Messner, East Earl RD#1; Grace I., wife of Richard T. Brubaker, Orange Street, Lancaster; Helen B., wife of Howard L. Messner, East Earl RD#2; and Ruth M.,wife of Arthur L. Gehr, East Earl RD#2; 39 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
