Obituary:
Mrs. Annie M. Briggs, wife of J. Harvey Briggs of Skelp, Sinking valley, died suddenly at the home at 5:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon of a heart attack. She was born on Dec. 2, 1862, a daughter of George and Susan (Musselman) Hostler, and was united in marriage with Mr. Briggs on March 20, 1880. Surviving are her husband, one daughter and three sons, Mrs. Mabel Smith of Lewistown, Herbert and Charles Briggs of Sinking valley and John Briggs of Grazierville; one brother, John M. Hostler of the city, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A son, George Briggs, was killed in France in the World war. Mrs. Briggs was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran church of Sinking Valley, and a member of the Sinking valley grange. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in St. John's church. Interment will be made in St. John's cemetery.
