After being in failing health for a number of months, Mrs. Inez M. Billings, wife of C. D. Billings, Illinois Central railroad man, passed away at 11:33 o'clock Thursday morning at her home in the Homesteads community near McComb.

Funeral services for Mrs. Billings will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Pearl River Avenue Methodist church with the pastor, the Rev. Roy Wolfe, and Dr. J. A. Smith, pastor of Centenary Methodist church, officiating. She will be laid to rest in Hollywood cemetery.

Mrs. Billings was born at Camden, Miss., September 18, 1888, and had made her home in this section for a long while.

Her devotion to her family and loved ones and her charitable ways were characteristic of her nature and she is mourned by many loved ones and friends throughout the county.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, C. D. Billings; her mother, Mrs. Callie Dickerson, of Memphis, Tenn.; and the following children: Clifford Billings, Mrs. E. E. Gill, Harry Billings and Peggy Marie Billings, all of McComb; Aubrey Billings in the Navy, serving in the South Pacific; Charles Billings, in the Army, serving in Belgium; Lieutenant James Billings, in the Army, serving in Germany; Norwood Billings, of the Army, stationed at Camp Polk, La., and Robert Lewis Billings, of the Navy, serving in the Atlantic; three grandchildren, Mary E. Billings, Eugene Gill, and Bonnye Dale Billings; seven sisters, Mrs. C. A. McDaniel of Florida, Ms. Walter Peterson of Smithdale, Mrs. Bob Elsey of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. James Brown of Memphis, Mrs. J. T. Jordan of Memphis, Mrs. Georgia Davis of Canton, and Mrs. Mary Cane of Pickens; and a brother, Walter Dickerson, of Greenwood, Miss.
