He was BORN 9/19/1885 in Montgomery, AL., the son of Dunk & Mark Amason Williams. The family moved to Texas when he was young and lived most of his life in Milam Co., except 17 years spent in Temple. Lived in Rockdale for past 9 years. Retired farmer. Member of First Christian Church of Rockdale and was elder in the old Southside Christian Church while living in Temple. Member and past-president of the Sharp School Board for many years. Preceded in death by wife of 67 years, Mrs. Annie Elzora Lawhon Williams, on 11/30/1972.
SURVIVORS: Son, Bennie D. Williams of Rockdale; 2 daughters, Mrs. Reno Smith of Rockdale, Mrs. Ann Berger of Temple; sister, Mrs. Jeanie Todd of Rockdale; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
