Mamie Sophronia Seay Cearley, 83, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, formerly of Paris, died Sunday, October 9, 1994. Services were scheduled for 3:30PM Tuesday, October 11 at Calvary Baptist Church in Chickasha. Grave side services and burial will be at 2PM Wednesday, October 12 at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris with the Rev. Ron Caudill officiating. Sevier Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cearley was born May 20, 1911 in Paris, a daughter of Samuel Lamar and Mary Sophronia Strickland Seay.

She was a charter member of the Ramseur Baptist Church in Paris. She moved to Chickasha in 1952. She married Grady Cearley December 12, 1931. She was a pianist, choir member and Sunday school teacher at Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; two grandchildren of Katy and of Houston; and two great-grandchildren. She was the aunt of Thomas C. Seay Jr. of Paris. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Anne Banks and three grandsons, William Grady, Billy Pat and Bryan Randall Banks.
